Bmore STEAM empowers youth (ages 9–13) through hands-on STEM, creative problem-solving, and real-world service projects. Our monthly themes spark curiosity and nurture leadership by blending science and social impact in an engaging, supportive environment.
Our program runs weekly sessions, each packed with engaging, project-based experiences. Each month, youth dive into rotating themes such as:
Engineering + Design
Biology & Lab Exploration
Cybersecurity & Digital Safety
AI & Creative Technology
Community Projects
Sessions are interactive and led by mentors who connect STEM learning with service, identity, and teamwork.
Who It's For?
Bmore STEAM is designed for youth ages 9–13 who are curious, creative, and ready to explore the world through STEM and leadership.
Sample Experiences
In past months, youth have:
Built model bridges and 3D designs using Tinkercad
Conducted biology experiments and explored cells
Learned the basics of ethical hacking
Visited construction and community design sites
Each activity blends creativity with purpose, and a little fun, too.
Bmore STEAM is partially funded by Baltimore Children's and Youth Fund, as part of their Grassroots program, under the Culturally Sustaining theme. It is primarily a program to instill career and professional development soft skills and identity within young people.
