Who: Open to youth ages 9–13.3
When: Month 3 begins Saturday, July 5th 2025 ~ Muharram 10th, 1447.
Time: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Where: In-person sessions, 4903 Liberty Heights ave, Baltimore MD 21207.
Extended Time: Optional after-session care available until 4 p.m..

What We've Done So Far...
What We've Done So Far...
Month 1 (April) Theme:
Engineering + Bridges + Food Security Youth explored how bridges are built, visited a covered bridge in rural Maryland, and designed models. They also began a community service project to address food access in their neighborhoods.
Month 2 (May–June) Theme:
Biology, Cybersecurity & Community Design Youth examined real cells under microscopes, practiced digital safety through games and workshops, and applied both science and design skills to propose better neighborhoods.

Cybersecurity:
Cybersecurity is explored during our monthly STEAM sessions through interactive activities like digital safety simulations, ethical hacking basics, and secure coding challenges. Youth apply these skills to real-world problems in group projects.
Engineering:
Engineering topics are integrated into monthly projects where youth sketch designs, build structures, and learn how engineering connects to community service.
Artificial Intelligence (AI):
Youth explore AI basics through creative technology—like training simple models and understanding how AI is used in everyday life and ethical dilemmas.

Bmore STEAM is partially funded by Baltimore Children's and Youth Fund, as part of their Grassroots program, under the Culturally Sustaining theme. It is primarily a program to instill career and professional development soft skills and identity within young people.
